Naughty Dogs Rumor Report

December 14, 2010 in Naughty Dogs, Rumor Reports

The Naughty Dogs had a solid run during the 2010 season and finished the 2010 NPPL Pro Paintball season in 7th place. As many of you will recall, the Naughty Dogs shocked the paintball community with a multi-year agreement with DYE Precision in 2010 (they had been a Smart Parts Factory team).

Fast forward to 2011, and the future of the Dogs is in great jeopardy. Raymond and Rocky Knuth are said to be taking the 2011 season off; Raymond is going back to school and Rocky is opening a gym. With that being said, word on the street has it that Corey Field has parted ways with the team and is now a free agent. Corey was a major force both on and off the field for the Naughty Dogs in 2010 and his departure will be hard felt. Without Corey, Rocky, or Raymond, the future of the Dogs is questionable at best. Stay tuned..

[UPDATED ]Down to the wire NPPL Style

Down to the wire NPPL Style

Quick Trivia Question: When was the last time the Pro Division came into the last event with four team within two points of each other? Answer: Two Sundays ago in Aldie, Va. as Tampa Bay reeled off their second consecutive NPPL victory.

Damage, who by their own admission had not prepared for Huntington Beach earlier in the season, went 10-3 in route to the Semi-Finals. After sending Dynasty to play the Naughty Dogs for third and fourth, win over L.A. Infamous. Tampa Bay, now winners of NPPL’s Chicago and the DC Challenge are riding a crest of momentum. They have poised themselves to make a strong run at winning both Pro leagues. They currently sit in 2nd of the PSP by a mere 1.82 points. The buzz within the NPPL is Bay’s recent surge that has them in 2nd by the slimmest of margins. Damage trails the new leader series L.A. Infamous by 1 point.

Edmonton Impact finds themselves in unfamiliar surroundings for the first time in 2010 as they have slipped into a third place tie with Dynasty. Other notables were the Naughty Dogs who cracked the Top 4 for the first time this year. Both Chicago Legend and Indianapolis Mutiny had improved showing with Sunday appearances.

It should make for an exciting finish. The top Pro teams will not only vie for the NPPL Championship, but also the PSP’s. With the MAO results in, stay tuned to ProPaintball’s new Power Rankings to be released shortly.

TB Damage Wins NPPL DC!

August 12, 2010 in Dynasty, Featured, Infamous, Naughty Dogs, NPPL, Tampa Bay Damage

The NPPL had this to say;

The DC Challenge paintball tournament, held at the beautiful Pev’s Paintball Park in Aldie, VA has come to a close and the NPPL would like to thank all the players, sponsors, staff and crew that came together to help make this one of the smoothest paintball events in NPPL history.  The league would also like to extend a special thanks to Mike “Pev” Peverill and his team for providing such an outstanding venue.

The NPPL was excited to debut the new “S7″ tournament format during the All-Star Game, which got rave reviews from both pro players and spectators alike.  As for the regulation pro competition, Tampa Bay Damage proved that they are definitely the top 7-man team in the country with back-to-back wins in Chicago and now in DC.  Congratulations to Damage on their impressive victory.

PPB Exclusive Photo: Naughty Dogs Victory

October 14, 2009 in Gear, Naughty Dogs

We’re happy to present the first photo of the new Naughty Dogs team Victory. No word yet on whether the internals are any different from a stock Bob Long Victory, but as laser anno jobs go this one certainly fits the Naughty Dogs. We’re loving the chains.

nd-victory

With Smart Part’s finances in the proverbial crapper it comes as no surprise that some of their teams are switching sponsors. The Naughty Dogs, winners of the televised Smart Parts World Championship in 2006, haven’t been doing as well on the tournament circuit in recent times. Naughty Dogs player Corey Field has said that at the moment they can shoot whatever they want, so we’re not sure whether this marker actually represents a BL sponsorship. They’ll be playing both PSP and the newly retitled (again) NPPL for the 2010 season.

Let us know what you think of the Naughty Dogs and their new marker. Is it worthy of the team or does the classic ND Shocker still have this one beat?

Naughty Dogs take Impact

April 30, 2009 in Impact, Naughty Dogs, PSP

pspThe Seattle Naughty Dogs take it to Edmonton Impact 7-4 in their first match this morning. The Knuth brothers saw the return of Corey Field after over 3 years away from the PSP. Corey was surely a good addition to the roster having so much previous experience with the team already. Impact has always been a strong contender and will have to step it up Friday against Boston Red Legion. The Dogs will play again tomorrow against the defending Phoenix Champion Philly All Americans.

One More Week till USPL..and

March 28, 2009 in Aftermath, Dynasty, Naughty Dogs, USPL

RaindanceRaney Stanczak has parted ways with Escondido Aftermath following the Phoenix PSP event. This time he has no plans of retirement and will be playing the USPL Huntington Beach event next weekend with Rodney Squires and Dynasty Entourage. Many power house teams have been noted, including the revival of the Dream Team. It will be a good match up to see Raney playing on the opposite side of the field of his previous teammates.

Erik HunterErik Hunter, formerly Dynasty & Naughty Dogs, has joined forces with Shawn Walker and friends to hold down the fort for the Camp Pendleton Allstars in Division 2. Many players from the California paintball community recall seeing Erik behind the counter at Camp Pendleton Paintball Park, looks like he’s jumped back over the counter and is in the game.

While playing with his RPL Allstars, Sean Walker reportedly slid through the X and bunkered someone in Phoenix, lets see how this name change and roster addition help him out at this event.

Guess Who's Pro in PSP 2009

January 29, 2009 in PSP

pspOriginally the PSP had planned for 12 teams to make up the PSP Pro bracket. Lane & the PSP later extended the invitation to Arsenal, XSV, Bushwackers and Authority. After the USPL Pro Owners meeting, we learned that Arsenal, XSV and Authority were instead planning to compete to the new 7-man league. From our understanding, the PSP planned to allow teams (on a first paid, first served basis) in even numbers, 12, 14, or 16.

The chat box has been going crazy about the Dogs having trouble securing sponsors, the money behind Shock going a different direction and Bart from Impact having an “on again, off again” relationship when it comes to supporting two leagues. Out of the 13 teams listed below, only 12 will be accepted into the PSP Pro division. Who do you think is going to be the weakest link? Place your bets in the comments below.

  • Aftermath
  • Aftershock
  • Bushwackers
  • Damage
  • Dynasty
  • Hurricanes
  • Infamous
  • Impact
  • X-Factor
  • Ironmen
  • Naughty Dogs
  • Philly Americans
  • Russian Legion

World Cup 2008 Wrap Up

October 27, 2008 in All Americans, Dynasty, Featured, Impact, Infamous, Ironmen, Naughty Dogs, PSP, Russian Legion, Tampa Bay Damage, X-Factor

The event of the year that every player waits for from the moment the previous seasons Cup ends. One full week of everything paintball has to offer, on the grounds of the “Happiest Place on Earth.” Spanning a Wednesday-Sunday of the never ending emotional roller coaster that every player rides, this event is by far, the best. This year we look forward to the much anticipated PSP Webcast by Matty Marshall.

To start things off: Brandon Mayo (returning from duty with the armed forces) was set to play with X-Factor for World Cup 2008, unfortunately for them, he decided not to show up last minute. What a bummer!

Read on for the final scores, drama and learned who came out on top at the paintball world cup. Read the full article →
