"Get off the Couch" Paintball Scholarship by CEPP

Capital Edge Paintball Park in Sacramento, California, hosts of Event 2 of the WCPPL, have announced a College Scholarship program for paintball players. The Capital Edge facility is run by pro paintball player Dave Baines of Russian Legion and his family. The Baines family has been very supportive and generous to the paintball community and has operated numerous paintball/charity related fundraisers in the past.  The College Scholarship program next year will be known as  “Get off the Couch” CEPP SCHOLARSHIP and offers up to $500.00 to the winners of the program.

In order to qualify you will need to meet the following qualifications:

“The scholarship will be awarded to a scholar who must possess the following attributes; a minimum of a 3.3 GPA overall, must be in good standing with their current high school and on track to graduate with their class end of spring semester 2011, and participate in extracurricular activities such as, sports, choir/band, or a volunteer program, or be currently employed.

Please submit the following by May 6th:

• at least one signed letter of recommendation

• an official copy of your most recent report card

• documentation of your extracurricular activities, or employment

• a minimum 750 word essay on what positive contributions you
have made to your community and why you feel you should be chosen.
