Chris Lasoya playing pro paintball with LA Infamous

You might remember as we reported earlier this year the recent additions to the EXPLICIT roster. With players like Neil Eberle, Tyler Harmon and now Chris Lasoya- EXPLICIT is putting together what appears to be a powerhouse team. Core cohesion will be critical for the team in 2012: team managaement and results will matter when it comes to game time. EXPLICIT will be competing in the 2012 NPPL Super 7 Tournament Series.

Chris Lasoya, the Ageless Wonder, has signed with San Francisco Explicit to participate with them in the NPPL Series. Rob Montiero, Owner and President of The Explicit Group, states “We are extremely excited about having this great addition to our team. We know that his experience coupled with the current roster will be an added value and benefit for Explicit.”

“I am looking forward to this year and this new venture with Team Explicit. Rob and company have taken the steps to create a team that will be very competitive. I would like to be a part of that. I have always liked the guys currently on the roster and the new pick ups I have played against for years and I have always had the utmost love and respect for. ‘Talent wins games … but Teamwork and intelligence wins championships.’ MJ said that.” – Chris Lasoya

With less than two months to go until the first event (NPPL Surf City Open March 29- April 1st) fans are eager to see the results.

Pro Update: San Francisco EXPLICIT Team Tryout

January 1, 2012 in San Francisco Explicit

We spoke with Rob Montiero of San Francisco EXPLICIT. The Pro Paintball Team is holding Tryouts for 2012.

Do you have what it takes to make it on San Francisco EXPLICIT? The Professional team is holding tryouts for the 2012 paintball season. When speaking with Rob the longtime Team Owner he had described to us a rebuilding year for the franchise and team. Montiero has helped to craft a marketing program behind the team which had the roster in positive spirits, they were putting wins on the board and most importantly core cohesion was tight when they entered the NPPL.

With the change, Pro-Ready and hungry players are invited to make tryouts. It may lead to a 2012 spot. Part of the team’s plan is to rebuild, retool and refresh their franchise.

“We are looking at revamping the team. I have personally spoken to some key players out there but [it's] too early to mention who they are. The San Francisco Explicit organization is looking forward to the 2012 season.”

What evaluations can be made? For starters a refreshed franchise in the NPPL Pro Bracket. That momentum will be key in the new year. With many professional teams weighing their options for the next season, EXPLICIT will be seeking a renewed fervency. Have what it takes?

Tryouts will be Sunday, January 8th at 10 A.M. – Capital Edge Paintball Park is the Location. (Sacramento, CA 95829)
