Sean “Crunchy” Macdonald resigns from San Diego Dynasty. According to ProPaintball insiders, Crunchy needed to focus his attention back on his work. If rumors serve us right, he is a river boat captain by trade. No word as to if he will continue playing with DC Arsenal in the NPPL 7-man series.

LA Infamous, an Empire Paintball pro team, has uploaded a new paintball video highlighting the 2012 PSP Phoenix event.

Day one of the PSP Phoenix event, Infamous gears up to start the event playing against LA Ironmen and Upton 187. Facing a tough lost to the Ironmen, Infamous comes back strong against 187. With a record of 1&1 heading into Saturday, Infamous has two must win matches. First Tampa Bay Damage, the defending champs who haven’t lost a game since NJ 2011, and Aftershock.

Raney Stanczak getting the pro paintball itch

Raney Stanczak’s name keeps popping up. In the last few weeks he has been seen playing with Texas Storm, AC402.com – Greg Pauley’s team, and practicing at several California paintball parks. ProPaintball insiders have told us that Raney has been practicing with local pro squad the LA Ironmen on more than one occasion. Raney is a very smart back and mid insert player and would be a strong pick up for a pro team. Sources suggest the Ironmen have been in talks about bringing him onboard. In Phoenix he played with AC402.com in division 2 but it wouldn’t surprise us to see him playing in the pro division sooner rather than later.

Damage beats the Heat in PSP Galveston Pro Paintball Finals

Hard fought paintball matches were had all day at the University of Phoenix Stadium today. This morning started off with pro teams Houston Heat and Tampa Bay Damage battling one another in the prelims. Ironically, the day ended with both teams facing off again in the finals for first and second. The matches played today were played to compete the PSP Galveston event in which a nasty storm knocked out several paintball fields.

Pro Paintball team Tampa Bay Damage

After a hard fought match, Tampa Bay Damage beat out Houston Heat for the PSP Galveston Open title. Tampa Bay Damage, a DYE Paintball team, played exceptionally well and finished strong in the finals. This was Houston Heat’s first event in the pro paintball division and the team definitely proved they are not messing around. San Diego Dynasty placed in third and the Los Angeles Ironmen placed in 4th.

Ironmen Pro Paintball player Scott Kemp MIA

Scott Kemp of the Los Angeles Ironmen will not being competing at the 2012 PSP Phoenix Open. If rumors are true, this would be the 2nd (of 2) events he has missed in 2012. The first event was due to friend and former teammate Alex Hong’s wedding. This time around his absence is due to a Body Building competition. According to ProPaintball insiders Skemp would like to continue competing professionally but his body building career takes priority. From what we have heard, Skemp is extremely dedicated to body building. So much so that he recently left his desk job to follow his dream. Only time will tell what happens with his professional paintball career.

Pro paintball team CEP signs with EXALT

Alex “Mouse” Goldman returns to DYNASTY

After a short break from professional paintball, veteran pro player Alex Goldman will be returning to San Diego Dynasty in time for this weekends PSP Phoenix. “Mouse” was spotted hanging with his friend and fellow teammate Sean “Crunchy” McDonald at NPPL Huntington Beach. The two were playing with DC Arsenal in the 7-man series. ProPaintball was able to confirm with “Mouse” at NPPL Huntington Beach that he had the paintball itch and couldn’t wait to play again.

Some fans were confused as to why Mouse and Crunchy were playing with Arsenal in NPPL HB. ProPaintball insiders informed us that the Dynasty roster was full for the NPPL 7-man event. Both Mouse and Crunchy wanted to play and DC Arsenal needed a few talented players to guest with the team.

According to sources, Alex “Mouse” Goldman will be playing with San Diego Dynasty for the remainder of the 2012 paintball season.

Rumor: Greg Pauley back to the Pro division?

Pro Paintball insiders report that a professional paintball team is in talks with veteran coach Greg Pauley. According to sources, GP would be brought on as a coach to help guide the team to victory. If rumor serves us right, GP would be starting as soon as this weekend’s PSP Phoenix Open.

In recent years, Greg Pauley has competed with Avalanche (Warped) Ninjaz, Texas Storm and the DSS P8ntball program. In addition, GP was involved with the Omaha VICIOUS program and helped coach the team into the professional division.
