Today we received a photograph and video link to a new paintball gun that will be unveiled shortly. The new paintball gun is known officially as the SAR12.

We do know that prototypes of this new paintball gun exist (as seen above). Further, the company producing these paintball guns is known as CARMATECH Engineering. The magazine is removable, the stock is adjustable, and we anticipate that FIRST STRIKE Paintball Rounds will be used for enhanced range and accuracy.

Looks amazing. I want to know where to buy oneof these? If the makers of this gun look at this comment. Keep the idea of the supressor on the barrel and the general look of the gun thanks. I love the realism of this marker. It makes me want more. I prefer not having the orange on my barrel like air soft. As to speedball and woods ball, I love both, and I feel both take a certain amt of skill to get the most of the game.

This gun looks awesome. Just for the fact that they’ve finally made a realistic looking paintball marker! It may not be really functional in the field, but it looks really cool.
@Matt Barber, speedball takes a lot of skill. 90% of woodsballers can’t even shoot with both hands let alone snap shoot. You’re obviously the weekend Gi Joe who thinks he’s shipping off to Iraq every time he steps onto the field. Every knowledgeable player knows that a pro speedball player would wipe a “Pro” if there’s such thing, woodsball player any day of the week. It’s not just sitting behind grass trees, and running around with 500 teammates. Maybe you should try it once and see how well you do.

As to matt’s comment speedball actually takes alot of skill because the amount of paint you shooting at someone is the amount of paint thats getting shot at you, so as to skill you have to have some skill in order to not getting raped with paintballs.

@Matt Barber I am in the military and i play speedball. You do not need real world tactics to play in the woods. I garuntee you I coulod take you into the woods and smash on you with 4 balls in my hopper and no pods. I also garuntee you that speedball takes 10x more skill than running around and hiding for hours on end. Dont get me wrong I love playing woodsball. It provides a great time when I want to relax and not try as hard. But you probably think like @Okay said that you are an actual soldier when you go out there. This makes no difference people like you give out sport a bad name by bashing another type of play when you really should be out there just promoting your sport instead of being a douche

Woods ball involves a lot more skill than speed ball anyone can run around in a small area and put thousands or rounds on someone with an pricey enough marker speedball is just about who has more money and a better gun when I can use any piece of crap gunof any style and still kick associated at woods ball because I can sneak and strategize better than u. For the people bitching about making a sniper rifle with no range advantage, this thing was tailor-made to be a First-Strike gun. So YES, it CAN outrange other markers on the field. Early info from the manufacturer also suggests it can be converted to semi-auto and will have an in-stock tank system available.

Only problem is most fields ban first strike rounds, and if first strike becomes the new standard for paintball at some point (plausible, as mag fed play is expanding and pushing first strike into the forefront) then the range advantage will be lost.

Hay guys, just like to add on the speed ball vs senorio, I’m from south africa and here where paintball is doing strong we love to play speeds ball vs milsim and grow our sport as a community, we all rock up start a braai(barbecue) and go shoot the shit out of each other, come off and get along like brothers. That’s how paintball should be, where the only thing that changes your aspect on the game is how good you and ur team mates nd enemys are and not how they dressed or what equipment they have. Personally i thing the gun is amazing, not into sniping my self bt that gun definitely could change my mind. Do u think it will be possible to change the shroud, stock and mag of the gun to personalise it to your taste, almost like a tippman A5 (proud owner)

For you people that complain about whether a paintball marker looks too real or not. Think about this and decide which side of the fence you stand on.
1) A RESPONSIBLE player will have the right carrying case for transportation to and from the field.
2) a RESPONSIBLE player does not and will not brandish a scenario marker/gun in a public place.
3) The only problem with a paintball marker/gun looking too real is the intent the person behind it uses it for. Don’t be a DICK!
I have played all types of paintball games from scenario(my fav)all the way to speedball in a safe environment. I have a multitude of different carrying cases for all my chosen speedball and scenario markers/guns. Most of my arsenal is real looking. .50 Cal,M249 SAW,MP5,P90,AR15,AK-47 blah blah blah. And there’s more…….
I have NEVER had a problem with anyone thinking it looks too real. I plan on keeping it that way!
So in closing I’m simply going to state a common factor we all share.
