Today we received a photograph and video link to a new paintball gun that will be unveiled shortly. The new paintball gun is known officially as the SAR12.

Here is a photo the SAR12 paintball gun, exclusive to ProPaintball:

We do know that prototypes of this new paintball gun exist (as seen above). Further, the company producing these paintball guns is known as CARMATECH Engineering. The magazine is removable, the stock is adjustable, and we anticipate that FIRST STRIKE Paintball Rounds will be used for enhanced range and accuracy.

A bit of google research pulled up this gem of a video;

    Looks like a MSR

    • Really??? says:

      To much COD for you.

      • tim says:

what does COD matter? this paintball gun is almost a perfect replica of an msr. the only thing missing is picatinny rails

    • BLA says:

Looks amazing. I want to know where to buy oneof these? If the makers of this gun look at this comment. Keep the idea of the supressor on the barrel and the general look of the gun thanks. Also the stock looks pretty ba, they did a nice job making this gun looking forward till it comes out! I don’t know how to leave a comment so just replying to this guys

    • Trubyyy says:

It does tbf .. Looks f*cking MILITANT !! I dont meen to sound nubeish but sum1 should make a replica of the SV98 of battlefield 3! Id happily pay 2g’s for it !!

  • insider says:

it looks more like a hybrid sniper platform to me ;) I want one with a tank attached to it. Not an air tank like pinging air systems…. i mean like a Sherman. Might just have to make that happen

  • Kody says:

What do u guys think the price one of these markers would come out at ?

  • Tupac says:

Why does the pb community continue to support markers like this? That thing looks like a REAL sniper rifle, is that the image we are trying portray? That of make-believe war games?

I love playing woodsball and it is the backbone of our sport but seriously, quit making paintball guns that look like they could blow some towel head into 50 pieces.

    • russ says:

@Tupac, who cares what people think. Airsoft gets away with it, so I’m no worried about this at all. If anything, stuff like this will get more video gamers off their butts and out playing.

    • MrMilsim says:

If realistic markers stop being produced ill just stop playing and go back to computer games, along with most of my team

    • Trubyyy says:

Stop being a p*ssy “Tupac” (i wanted to use the ‘u’ but it wouldnt hav been posted) but people who take paintballing seriously AS A SPORT hav more sence than people who see it as a game (like e.g call of duty)

    • Derek Kuehner says:

I love the realism of this marker. It makes me want more. I prefer not having the orange on my barrel like air soft. As to speedball and woods ball, I love both, and I feel both take a certain amt of skill to get the most of the game.

    • shadow says:

i do as a hard core woods ball player

  • Paul says:

@TUPAC. That’s the only reason I want this gun.

  • Chris says:

@Tupac. That is the whole purpose behind it. If i wanted something that looks stupid and not realistic I would play Speedball and Halo.

    • icgod says:

woods ball takes no skill there i said it

      • Matt Barber says:

speed ball takes no skill. pray and spray is not skill, hundreds of rounds paintballs = zero ammo discipline. Woods ball is real skill with real world tactics. Its the thrill of the warrior class mentality without the moral problems of shooting people in the face.

you’re probably a decent fellow but you sound like a spineless fat-body that can’t cut it in real pretend combat.

      • Okay says:

Sounds like someone sucked at speed ball and could only survive a decent amount of time by hiding behind a tree trunk.

      • D says:

This gun looks awesome. Just for the fact that they’ve finally made a realistic looking paintball marker! It may not be really functional in the field, but it looks really cool.

@Matt Barber, speedball takes a lot of skill. 90% of woodsballers can’t even shoot with both hands let alone snap shoot. You’re obviously the weekend Gi Joe who thinks he’s shipping off to Iraq every time he steps onto the field. Every knowledgeable player knows that a pro speedball player would wipe a “Pro” if there’s such thing, woodsball player any day of the week. It’s not just sitting behind grass trees, and running around with 500 teammates. Maybe you should try it once and see how well you do.

        • TRU.PB says:

          You have a valid point.
But honestly you’re comparing apples to pears, they are two entirly different sports.
As for a “pro speedballer” beating a “pro woodsballer” thats debatable. Like i said two very different sports. As to matt’s comment speedball actually takes alot of skill because the amount of paint you shooting at someone is the amount of paint thats getting shot at you, so as to skill you have to have some skill in order to not getting raped with paintballs.

      • Speedball GI says:

@Matt Barber I am in the military and i play speedball. You do not need real world tactics to play in the woods. I garuntee you I coulod take you into the woods and smash on you with 4 balls in my hopper and no pods. I also garuntee you that speedball takes 10x more skill than running around and hiding for hours on end. Dont get me wrong I love playing woodsball. It provides a great time when I want to relax and not try as hard. But you probably think like @Okay said that you are an actual soldier when you go out there. This makes no difference people like you give out sport a bad name by bashing another type of play when you really should be out there just promoting your sport instead of being a douche

      • Speedball GI says:

Correction @D was the one to say you were a wanna be GI my bad

      • Andre Phillip Moreau says:

Woods ball involves a lot more skill than speed ball anyone can run around in a small area and put thousands or rounds on someone with an pricey enough marker speedball is just about who has more money and a better gun when I can use any piece of crap gunof any style and still kick associated at woods ball because I can sneak and strategize better than u. U probably just think your tough shit because you get smoked like your mom smokes pole every time you play woods ball. And you are probably just too lazy to actually work at anything in your life

  • Andrew says:

    Alright, this is sick

  • Mike says:

As I get older and my body gets larger and slower markers like these keep me with the itch to go back to the woods.. aka keep playing.

  • dawson says:

Oh lord, give me a break. Why do they keep making this crap for the scenario bs. Slow is boring and boring is slow. When are these fools going to learn that a paintball is not a bullet. It doesn’t matter how long you make the barrel or what kind of ridiculous package it comes in you aren’t going to get more distance out a paintball with something like that.

    • stalker says:

beg to differ iv got a tiberius and they can out ranger any thing on the fild this looks like a new contendr to its throne and if you had the pacents youd aperiate the point of this marker thers noting like siting there and letting a team walk in to you sights and poping them all off and they still dont know were you are…. better than paint slinging

  • jtmerc says:

as a speedball player that knows a little about firearms this gun just looks nastys but i know this guns not going to have any real reach maybe a little bit more than most paintball guns but not much. but if i saw a woods ball guy with this I just shitz myself just the fear that it might be shooting .380 lapua but i think thats the idea

  • GetReal says:

^^^^all i see is players hating on other players…. paintbal is paintball, doesnt matter how you play it.. grow up

    • GetReal says:

      paintball*

      • justin says:

absolutely right! it doesnt matter if yur hardcore milsim, woodsball or speedball or any amalgamation of the lot, yur a paintballer. i own a full mod’d milsim and a crazy 06 ego and enjoy playing both styles, they offer different challenges, shit like what is going on here makes me sick. this is the stuff that makes poor playing experiences at fields. remember its….
        Just
        A
        Game
        Everybody
        Relax.

  • quitit says:

we are a community most of the people i know play woods its fun and gives me practice. But for the ones who play speedball we found it through woodsball games and really cool speedball guys who played with us and not against us. be that cool chill speedball player and relax and enjoy it. grow up and get over it.

  • croballer says:

i would like to have this and tpx gun…perfect joy setup!!

  • Jacob says:

    That gun is bad ass

  • Daniel says:

    The gun looks so sick.

  • Jay says:

For the people bitching about making a sniper rifle with no range advantage, this thing was tailor-made to be a First-Strike gun. So YES, it CAN outrange other markers on the field. Early info from the manufacturer also suggests it can be converted to semi-auto and will have an in-stock tank system available.

    • Scruffy McFartLuls says:

Only problem is most fields ban first strike rounds, and if first strike becomes the new standard for paintball at some point (plausible, as mag fed play is expanding and pushing first strike into the forefront) then the range advantage will be lost.

      • Chris says:

none of the field’s around me care if you use fs rounds.

people need to quit bitching about scenario style guns. people like them, get over it. I personally don’t like playing with a marker that looks like an aluminum pipe with a handle.

I would probably never use the 20″ barrel but I like the bolt action system.

  • Tyler says:

Please oh god please put picatinny rails on the shroud

  • Tyler says:

Also make it able to use a hopper

    • duck says:

The people making this gun and pushing it also push for one shot one kill and pump guns which takes much more skill than a semi auto paintball gun thats probably why they wont add a hopper to this gun.

    • shadow says:

no its a senario gun no hopper go crawl in your speed ball hole and die

  • MGT says:

Is a badass looking marker. Paintball started in the woods and it is fun. We need to stop this woodsball vs speedball BS, paintball players need to be united to grow the sport on any variance of it. And for the peopple bitching abaute the realistic look(milsim = military simulation). Lets just go play and have fun.By the way I play more speedball than anything else and proud owner of an EGO10.

  • duece says:

Im with the HOG ELITES, and this marker would be great for us. We like this marker and think you should continue making war ready markers like this one

  • Profile photo of Nate Nate says:

when do you think it will come out?!?

  • Trubyyy says:

3 questions … How much ? Where from ? … And any other colours ???
    Sum1 lemme kno :)

  • peewee says:

Hay guys, just like to add on the speed ball vs senorio, I’m from south africa and here where paintball is doing strong we love to play speeds ball vs milsim and grow our sport as a community, we all rock up start a braai(barbecue) and go shoot the shit out of each other, come off and get along like brothers. That’s how paintball should be, where the only thing that changes your aspect on the game is how good you and ur team mates nd enemys are and not  how they dressed or what equipment they have. Personally i thing the gun is amazing, not into sniping my self bt that gun definitely could change my mind. Do u think it will be possible to change the shroud, stock and mag of the gun to personalise it to your taste, almost like a tippman A5 (proud owner)

  • dan says:

It looks incredible but ill stick with the rap4 mil sim guns .

  • JAN says:

where can i buy this cool paintball gun

  • Rogue 1970 says:

For you people that complain about whether a paintball marker looks too real or not. Think about this and decide which side of the fence you stand on.
    1) A RESPONSIBLE player will have the right carrying case for transportation to and from the field.
    2) a RESPONSIBLE player does not and will not brandish a scenario marker/gun in a public place.

    3) The only problem with a paintball marker/gun looking too real is the intent the person behind it uses it for. Don’t be a DICK!

I have played all types of paintball games from scenario(my fav)all the way to speedball in a safe environment. I have a multitude of different carrying cases for all my chosen speedball and scenario markers/guns. Most of my arsenal is real looking. .50 Cal,M249 SAW,MP5,P90,AR15,AK-47 blah blah blah. And there’s more…….
I have NEVER had a problem with anyone thinking it looks too real. I plan on keeping it that way!
So in closing I’m simply going to state a common factor we all share.

    I LOVE PAINTBALL!!!!

  • Joey says:

And where can I buy this at?

  • Oscar Gomez says:

Where is the picatinny shroud for this. I can’t find it

  • Trojan paintball says:

Ok, stop fighting about speedball vs. woodsball!
It is extremely hard to accurately judge which takes more skill. It is a fact, though, that more people are getting into woodsball due to the increasing number of milsim markers available on the market. I for 1 do not care which type of paintball more people play. I view speedball and woodsball as a singular sport. PAINTBALL! Everyone has their own opinion. No need to insult fellow paintballers. It just depends on what type you want to get into.

  • kane says:

Its actually a perfect replica of the SAR-12
