Planet Eclipse Etha, New Paintball Gun From Eclipse

Our friends at German paintball website PBHub.de alerted us to a new paintball gun that was spotted at a scenario paintball game in Germany. The new paintball gun, known as the Planet Eclipse Etha, uses a single tube design, similar to the Planet Eclips GEO. The Etha was used by “Operation Sandbag”, a team composed of Planet Eclipse workers and friends.

This new paintball gun will be unveiled at the 2011 PSP World Cup. According to Planet Eclipse sources, a limited number of the new Etha paintball guns will be on display for dealers to evaluate. We are hoping that a few of the Planet Eclipse Etha paintball guns will be available for sale to the public. Insiders suggest the new paintball guns will be released to dealers in time for the 2011 Christmas season.

If you look at the frame and feedneck, it looks like a “etek” version of the geo. On top of that, it doesn’t have the angled macro/reg collar.

    Good job PE.

  2. black pat

im gonna say mid level paintball gun like the etek.
I personally think this gun is for the people who like eclipse but want a spool valve gun like the GEO or GEO2 but can’t afford one. So i feel the the Etha is what the next gun from eclipse will be exactly. Also because the GEO2 even though it wasn’t released to long ago I don’t think they would come out with a GEO3 yet idk just my thoughts on it.

Looks like the etha is the etek for the geo line nothing to special looks like it utilizes the sae style prop shaft as the geo 1 with the way the back cap is milled. I’m happy to see there wont be anymore Gtek threads

@ eljay, I DON’T want to know what’s on his gog strap O.o
It looks like the ETEKs GEO, so a mid range spooly. Nice idea, the ETEKs always been a rough shooter, this will cater for those wanting soft shots at mid range price.

  5. jagbite

If this is a mid range geo this thing is going to sell like hotcakes. Great business idea from planet if this is a cheap geo, everyone will want one if they are fairly priced

I’m picking one up..hope they come out with the urban digi cam (but not the HDE one the first run of it..) I still think gtek was a better name but etha wil do. Can’t wait.

Could “etha” just be a code name until the marker releases. I’ve wondered about that. Not sure though since I obviously don’t work for PE.

It does seem a little out of place with all of the other PE markers being Ego, SL, Geo, Etek… you know? Who knows…

  7. Jetstorm

Is it just me or anyone else kind of see the Mokal Aura in its design? Still looks like it could have good potential for PE to get into a bigger segment of the market where people don’t want to spend $500+ on a marker. Hope it works out well for them. I might have to check out one as well and see how they perform.

IT IS NOT A GEO! IT IS NOT A SPOOL VALVE ! ITS A PULL POPPIT DOES FUNCTION SIMMILAR TO THE INVERT MINI OR AXE BUT BETTER ITS SPRING BACK SO IT WILL BE AMAZING ON EFFIENCY (spelled wrong)

If you look closer at the dudes goggle strap it is a naked blonde chick. Just to clear things up. You can see her face at the front of his strap. Lol

  10. JohnnyR

How is it anything like a GEO? It clearly states

“Drive Mechanism: Dual Force Pull Poppet”

This is a completely new type of bolt for PE.
