We have a new feature where we, ProPaintball.com, have a short interview consisting of 5 questions (4 team/paintball specific and 1 ‘for fun’ question – paintball related or not) entitled ‘Five Questions with _____’. Today I fill in that blank with European pro team, the Ton Tons of France. Captain Fabrice “Tavarez” Colombo kindly answered some questions for us. Read below to learn a little about the successful team.

PPB: Please share a brief history of the Toulouse Ton Ton’s.
TonTons: Tonton was born in February 1992, by the meeting of enthusiasts and friends in Toulouse and then in Marseille. From the beginning, the commitment of these members has been rewarded with a record unmatched in France and Europe: in the 196 tournaments played, the Tontons got 56 first places, 25 second places and 23 third place, so they went 5 times European Champion in Pro division (Millennium series) and one in Amateur, 6 times French champion, 3rd and 1st in the Word championship in 1997 and 2010, ……..Spectacular results, they have conquered in France of course, but also the USA, England, Russia, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, Turkey, Hungary, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark or Sweden. The history of paintball written every day, Tonton adds, every year, some beautiful lines.
PPB: What are the teams’ plans for 2011?
TonTons: Tonton will be playing the National French League called Ligue Elite. Every month we organize and play the tournament Tonton club on our field. Some events in France. But our priority will be the Millennium series in CPL. And we’ll finish the season with the World Cup in Orlando.
PPB: Who sponsors Team TonTon?
TonTons: Dye Paintball for the pants, jerseys, goggles, pads, paintball guns, hoppers and bags.
We’ll shoot the perfect Carnage Paintballs from CAMP.
SUP’AIRBALL – we will train on the millennium series field.
Energy Paintball for the power on our guns and hoppers
Good Game Paintball with the loader shield inside our loaders
PPB: Who is on the 2011 roster?
Axel Gaudin: Front snake player
Fanck Chambon: Front snake player
Sébastien Duvivier: Back player
Yan Samoylov: Back player
Guillaume Bonici: Dorito player
Fabrice “Tavarez” Colombo: Front player
And one more player is coming but not confirmed (not a French)
Pascal Hausser: Head Coach
Jean Jacques Farlet: Coach/Pit crew
PPB:Do you believe in aliens? If so, do you think they play paintball on their planet(s)?
Ton Tons: MMmmmm?!? Good question…..I hope yes! Like that we could play the Interplanetary Cup. I love this idea!
PPB: I would like to thank Tavarez and the entire TonTon organization. ProPaintball.com wishes them all the best on their upcoming season!

So you left out the most important question. Why can’t the frenchie pro team play pro when they come over to our side of the pond. Smashing on D1 at cup just makes you look pathetic.
at 1:30 pm
They don’t play the full PSP schedule and the PSP only has so many slots open to pro teams. Do you remember the Portland Naughty Dogs played World Cup last season? Well, XSV couldn’t play World Cup so the Dogs got that spot. The best TonTons can do is D1 because of that.
at 4:10 pm
We were not allowed / offered a pro spot.. And since semipro is gone we had no choice.. Still i dont get how wining d1 at the cup is pathetic.. Also if you really want to go that way how about 3 nxl pros ( dynasty members ) playing in millennium d2 ( your d4 ) in 2009 and d1 millennium ( your d3 ) in 2010…. Now thats really pathetic imo… And they were not forced to play in those divisions.. We were…

“Conquered” bahahahaha. I don’t know about Conquered.
at 4:30 pm
and what about us pro player playing in SPL D1 D2 D3 in millénium series
to be the best, beat the best
at 11:49 pm
I can’t help it if your inferior series allows our pro players to get paid to dominate. When nothing is stopping me I love to play paintball and when someone offers me money I take it. Blame your Euro series not the players who take advantage to make money. If you were for real you’d play PSP pro. Any other series is D1 or less by our system.
at 11:51 pm
major tournament worldwide should use appa. im tired of seeing about pros from the us going to europe and smashing and honestly don’t think its fair. BTW what classification system does the millennium use?
at 1:32 am
So we shoud not play d1 psp, because we are pro, but you think its normal that the american nxl pros play in any division all over the world. How can that be a fair judgement ?. the psp MADE us play in d1. Blame them. Also the difference between american pro and european pro, is that you can not live out of playing paintball in europe. The millennium has no appa system.. So anybody can play anywhere.. Still the appa let us play in d1..

Charlieboy t’es vraiment un gros con
I’d love to hear how many D1 tournaments you’ve managed to win Charlieboy. Or are you just another one of the legion of paintballers that are much better at bitching on the internet than they are at playing the actual game they so widely misrepresent.
The Tontons have played an important part in the development of French and European paitnball, and you owe them gratitude for this, because among other things it allows the companies which would fail in the US to generate enough revenue to keep the markets competitive and keep the quality of products you then purchase high.
at 1:07 am
Hello TonTons, Im wondering when did you come to Lithuania? Haven’t heard that any pro team would come here lol
sorry for me english..
at 11:14 am
Why are everybody bitching against the Tontons? They are a very respectable team that has already won events all over the world. They are one of the European teams that have already won events at Pro in the USA. It’s true that they payed in D1 and the play and have a game level in PRO but who gives a f***?
Instead of blaiming Tonton why dont you start giving the well deserved congratulations, they were world champions in D1 (which is pretty awesome), they play against the best and defeat them and they are a great team with amazing players.. Paintball is a small sport, and you guys are always finding a way to put this less professional. Help each other and everybody will get along.
at 1:44 pm
I always like watching the tons play. These guys always bring there A game and play there hearts out. All you haters need to stop your
Bi&$ing there living the dream and your paying to play. TON TONS rock.
I miss the old cow field in kissimmee those were THE DAYS. The pros were rock stars and we all had a blast in heaven. If you were there you know what im saying. PEACE
at 5:45 pm
I agree with you Ton Ton is one of my favorite teams and all these people just need to know its the league not the team and to all the people who are b&$%&(ng should shut the hell up
at 7:28 am
All I have to say is TonTons have had the ugliest looking jerseys ever, the whole time they have been a team.
Other than that they are cool
at 1:12 am
TonTon’s are one of the most respectful teams in europe, maybe the only old days team still compeating at highiest level, as Joy felt out (Nexus travels to US too). I always enjoyed watching them as euro pro’s and models of aggresive and effective play. In my career I even had a chance to beat them in a Centurio Circuit competition in Riga.
Ones that criticise them are underaged, have no dignity and should be ashame. Do what they did and then take a vote. Respect others afforts and learn geography. If my english is bad try to answer in polish
