Am I the only one that finds it interesting that Gino and Richmond are BOTH getting back in paintball at the same time? Are they working together?
Tom said on May 21, 2009
Gino and Richmond are not working together… but Richmond will be partnering with a name you probably know… I’m just saying…

Xball changed Paintball, for the better in my opinion, and it is still played in it’s true stages in the CXBL, AXBL, and NCPA. all of these thrive. if he can do it well the first time, the second time will probably help paintball out.
i’m hoping we can maybe agree on a format soon and outside sponsors can actually see us as a legit Professional sport. hopefully what this “paintball 2.0″ will bring is that change.

AXBL/CXBL are on the right track. As much as I love national events, I would much prefer playing a regional event. I wish the Southeast had something the caliber of AXBL. It’s such a cool idea.

Richmond is back and that means that paintball is going to be better off. It’s as simple as that. The best part of his return is his motivation which I am not going to get on a public forum and disclose. The one thing you need to know that is for sure is that he needs to be part of Paintball in order for the sport to improve. Remember that he was a player first and then an investor and creator of what I believe was the best paintball manufactured. He revolutionized our sport with X-Ball. Bottom line, he is a visionary that cares about the game with a new motivation that will boost his efforts. I feel sorry fro those that double crossed him.

motivation = money, if it wasn’t he’d be running an NPO
He didn’t become wealthy by accident. He sees an opportunity and pursues it. It may also be great news for paintball but he isn’t spending money to create something new because he was bored and his pockets were getting too heavy.
I like the guy.

There is more to money behind his motivation but you are entitled to your opinion
