USPL Huntington Beach Open Thursday

April 2, 2009 in USPL

USPL LogoThe fields are all set up, teams are busying the registration tent and USPL Event #1 Huntington Beach Open is before us. The grandstands have been blasting country and techno with no consistency what so ever, but all the weather should be clearing up in time for the weekend.

As the website states along with being confirmed this afternoon, the webcast is not going to be free like that of the PSP. The initial word when the league was presented months ago clearly stated a free webcast along with grandstands. Oh wait, they’re charging for the grandstands too! Each divisional player has been required to pay $70.00 for their ID Card and to be placed onto a roster, but apparently the Pro teams have not been required to register their players(per word of 3 owners, and if so they didn’t know about it).

Clarification Update: ID Cards for Divisional players are $50.00, any additional roster change is $10.00, and the Pro Teams did have to register, although their ID card dues were included with their entry fee’s.

The vendors are set up and ready to go for the most part, everything is stationed in the sand and the trucks are atop of plywood sheets. There is a wood plank path that runs adjacent to all of the vendors booths. At only 3 feet wide it should be a very busy highway for the beautiful Southern California girls and their heals roaming the beach!

  1. Pro teams don’t have to register their players? We know they own the league but what the f have some consistency, this is your debut event, right? (maybe not mentally for the the ones who ran the last one into the ground)

Registration is required to eliminate sandbagging competition. Impossible at the pro level.

  3. The concept is to follow players right? Who cares about sandbagging, the fact that the USPL took over the APPA rankings(even though they purchased the NPPL records) should still combine the both, but paintball is too political and chris raehl has his thumb up is ass
