USPL announces field paint pricing for HB
March 19, 2009 in USPL
The USPL paint prices have been unofficially announced. From the looks of it, teams with manufacture direct paint deals will be able to take advantage of their agreements.
We are curious to know; how are divisional teams supposed to anticipate the boxes they will use in order to prepay for paint? What happens if they go over, or under, the prepaid amount? Further, how will the league handle teams attempting to “smuggle” paint inside the event? Last but not least; if one brand of paint is too brittle or too soft (remember, these things happen at the beach), will the league allow teams to exchange their paint with other brands of equal or lesser value?

Suprised, that’s very reasonable Event Only paint pricing.

yeah thats ok if you actually have a sponsorship!!! …but none of us divisional teams have those anymore, hell, most of the pros dont have sponsorships either. we have been working deals at the truck..at phoeinix we had buy 2 get one free, and didnt have to prepay. mmmmm….does anyone know how paint worked at that wcppl????

Sounds like all the cali teams should play the WCPPL. The first event was the best in a long long time.

Joker you are an idiot! Which pro team do you own?

to Ya… Wasn’t Draxxus Gold $45 at the NPPL events off the truck? So if you prepay it’s the same, if you buy at the event, it’s only $5 more. I don’t see the problem.

well teams are no longer able to negotiate, or earn our paint at the event if we win. with the USPL everything is “cut in stone” and you get what you get. fackkk this could get expensive real quick.

draxxus silver was better than gold at wcppl. it is more consistent, but then they ran out and we had to use gold and i was torching paint in my dm. but the paint prices was a lot better at wcppl. looks like i will be reffing huntington and playing the rest of the wcppl’s.

the prices are good and i am assuming they want you to pre order it so they can get a better deal on the price so they make more money obviously. I hope everything works out well because HB is one of the biggest events

This blows. Those paint prices are going to really bog down teams that no longer have sponsorships anymore.
Abuot $5 less for the lesser paints would be ok, but this is redic. Might as well just go play at a rec field, or buy it from a retail store.
